April Meeting

At our April meeting we will be hotting things up…

Helen O’Hara, who produces such magnificent original pieces, will be demonstrating her techniques using a soldering iron. The ‘specific tools’ needed for the activity are a soldering iron, a heat gun, a metal ruler and a glass chopping board. These are obviously very different to our usual tools and CQG are not proposing to purchase them. We ask that if you have any of this equipment to bring it along and be prepared to share it – at the last meeting quite a few people volunteered. We will set up as many activity stations as possible and we can take turns to experiment. The felt and organza materials will be provided. Virginia O’Keefe will also be sharing her journaling skills with the Group in an extended demonstration. If you have any of your own journals, please bring them along to share with the Group.
Remember QuiltWest is rapidly approaching (23-27 May) and as usual, CQG intend to mount an interesting display. The main part of display will be our maps but we will also put up examples of what we have done during the year. Please bring your map and things for general display to the April meeting. We will also be looking for volunteers to help man our stand.
